7. Visa Information
In general, all incoming travelers must hold a passport with at least one month of validity or more.
Currently, passport holders from most countries or regions do not need to apply for a visa or entry permit to visit Hong Kong for tourism, provided they meet general entry requirements. The permitted stay ranges from 7 to 180 days. If you are unsure whether you need a visa, please consult any Chinese embassy or consulate. Additionally, you can find more detailed information on visa requirements on the Hong Kong Immigration Department website. Section 12 of Part 2 provides details regarding visa requirements for visitors from different countries or regions.
Since December 28, 2021, the Hong Kong Immigration Department has implemented an electronic visa application service. Applicants can complete the entire visa application process online.
To ensure you receive your visa in time to attend the IDFC from November 18-21, 2024, we recommend that you start the visa application process as early as possible.
