Dataport Technology Limited, under the International Digital Forensics Challenge (IDFC) Committee, collaborated with the INTERPOL Innovation Centre for its 10th Digital Forensics Experts Group (DFEG) meeting held from July 14 to 16, 2025 in cooperation with The University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Police Force. Dataport contributed to on-site execution and logistics. During DFEG, Dr. Shengzhi Qin, representing Dataport, delivered a keynote titled “Decoding IDFC Challenges with AI: Case Studies, LLM Strategies, and Practical Insights”. He shared practical applications of artificial intelligence—particularly large language models (LLMs) and AI agents—in reshaping digital forensic workflows and driving innovation in the field.
The 2025 DFEG meeting underscored INTERPOL’s vital role in global cybercrime governance, international cooperation, and technology sharing. Over the course of three days, the event gathered 122 participants from 29 member countries, including national law enforcement agencies such as the Brazilian Federal Police, Hong Kong Police Force, and Singapore Police Force; academic institutions like Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and the National Forensic Sciences University (India); and leading industry players including Belkasoft, Amped Software, ACE Lab, Nuix, Group-IB, and Threat-Tool. In-depth discussions explored the application of artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), synthetic media, and other emerging technologies in digital forensics, reflecting the sector’s growing interest and active engagement with technological innovation.
Following DFEG, Dataport also successfully co-organized the International Digital Forensics Challenge (IDFC 2025), further showcasing its capabilities and influence in the digital forensics space. As a dedicated advocate for innovation in digital forensics, Dataport remains committed to providing advanced solutions to law enforcement agencies worldwide. Looking ahead, the company will continue to strengthen collaboration with law enforcement, industry partners, and academia to tackle emerging challenges, promote technical advancement, and foster international cooperation.
